Happy Easter
We started off April with celebrating Easter and decorating some tasty eggs. Nyah had a great time coloring all the pretty eggs, luckily they didn't all get broken.
We then headed to celebrate the holiday with a nice turkey dinner at Scott and Darlene's. We had lots of fun. As you can see the girls had a fun time playing and jumping in the bed. As you can also see Nyah was enjoying a few quiet moments of reflection as she was checking out her new pretty dress in the mirror.
Easter morning started with an egg hunt. Nyah was very excited about it all. She got our baskets and started to see if we could find any colored eggs. Nyah was the best hunter, she found every one from the first few on the steps to the last one up high on vase. It was so much fun. As she would find more, she would put some in my basket and in Marc's saying that she was sharing and helping us. I guess she noticed that we were not very good at finding any eggs. After the hunt, Nyah opened her gifts. She was very excited about her new basket to put on her bike. She wanted to get it all setup on her bike. Along with her new basket, Nyah also really loved all the new chocolate that the Bunny brought.
Another thing we did in April was have a fun play date with a co-worker of Marc's. The girls had a fun time playing at the park, riding their bikes and playing with the chalk. It was all fun and game, until dinner time. That was an awful event. I am not sure what was happening with Nyah but something was bugging her stomach because as we were sitting at the table having some yummy steak and salad, Nyah started to projectile vomit, luckily none went on the table but then again that was the end of dinner. After a little bath, we headed start home.
One of the amazing highlights of April was receiving the very most precious gift for Nyah. It was a handmade silk vest all the way from Yuanling SWI from China. Apparently Director Zhao was on some training, and was fortunate to see some people making these vest and she felt that that would be a great and wonderful keepsake for the children. After some coordination some people were able to get the vest from China to USA. Luckily there was one that was allocated to Nyah - Zhao, Gui Hua. I was so excited to hear that one was her. We are very lucky that Nyah was born into such a wonderful orphanage and amazing Director.
