Welcome to our August06 Fun page.  As I start the August write up, I am still doing a continuation of our summer vacation to New Brunswick.

I am starting off with a few pictures that Amethyst supplied us from her camera from late July.

She got some pictures from our trip to the historical Acadien Village that we did not have.  We actually didn't very many pictures of our visit to the village.  Amethyst got some pretty cool ones like - an outdoor stove; some cool shoes; they girls taking a boat ride (haha); Nyah feeding some animals; the bridge fine; and the girls at school.  This visit was really fun and a must see.  A great family adventure place with lots of history.

After we got home that night, the girls all went in the "Hotel" (a name Nyah dubbed the trailer) to play.  I just got to see these pictures of them playing.  I love them.  I love the crown they made for Nyah to wear while she was pretend to take their orders.  It was really fun, she would ask what you would like to eat and would pretend to get your food for you.

That night it was Taunt Krista, Amethyst and Victoria came for a visit in their PJs; so we decided to have a little PJ party.  Nyah had a great time playing horsy rides with all of us.  It was a great hoot...

The next night she got some great shots of Nyah hanging out with her older cousins - Teresa, Victoria, Olivia and Amethyst.  Then she got some fun pictures of Nyah lounging around, showing a pouting face and getting those last crumbs from her chips.

Amethyst also got some pictures of Nyah spending some quality time with Mommy making some silly faces.  That was fun.

Then we ended the month just a dip in the pool by Nyah and Amethyst, I am just grateful Amethyst chooses to go with her clothes...  THANKS!

Then after spending a few days in Lorne, we headed to Moncton.  First we stopped by Dorchester and had a nice visit with Grandpa and Grandma (Larry and Gloria).  They were very excited to see Nyah and all the changes in her over the last year.  Nyah had fun playing with Buddy their dog and Cleo, their new kitty.  We had a fun time, even though they were a little busy and tired from a recent move to a new home just days before, they took the whole afternoon to just hang out with us.  Marc was really happy to see his Dad.  They had a nice visit.

After our brief visit, we then went to Moncton to see Uncle Mike, Taunt Stephanie and little cousins - Gibson and Austin.  The kids were a little shy at first but before long the boys were excitedly showing Nyah around their rooms and all their toys.  We only had a short visit, because Stephanie, Nyah and myself needed to make a trip to Michael's.  A few last minute items to pick up for the long waited wedding...  The wedding of Claudette and Guy!

The next day, we went to Saint Marie's to finally see the bride and groom.  Guy was building a wonderful location at their camp to have the wedding.  I called it a Rustic Wedding in the woods.  I just can't believe how wonderful the location looked.  From the huge tent to the special arch to the custom dance floor.  The wedding was beautiful and very intimate.  We only got a few pictures but we are expecting more from the bride and groom.  We will post more next month.

Nyah looked so pretty as the flower girl in her pretty white dress with purple accents.  The boys, Gibson and Austin were just charming looking with their custom tuxedo shirts.

The Bride was radiant and glowing with in her beautiful flowing suit.  She was a little nervous about the ceremony, but it all worked out really great.  The Groom was very handsome in his match mauve shirt and gray pants.  If you would have seen Guy before the wedding, after making the structure, you would all agree that he cleaned up really, really well.  After the ceremony we all got to relax.  We enjoyed the specially prepared food, that was cautiously chosen to be Gibson safe, because his very dangerous allergies to Dairy, Egg and Nuts, we all had to be very careful.  It is really cute actually, anytime you go to give him something to eat, he always asks you first if it is Gibson Safe.  After eating the music and dancing began.  I think this is the part that Nyah enjoyed the most of all.  Her dancing was so great.  I really enjoyed watching her.  It was really cute at one point, there was a few people playing fiddles and guitars and there was only one older lady with tap shoes dancing away...  And just behind her was Nyah trying to move her feet and legs just like the lady.  It was the cutest thing ever.

I almost forgot to comment on Marc, my dear husband.  He looked great as he and his brother walked their down the aisle.

Once the wedding was over and the gifts were opened, all the clean up was done and the dance floor was taken down; we started to relax again and enjoy more of our vacation.  Miche, Pere and Amethyst made the trip down to Sainte Marie for the wedding to, so we got to spend some extra time with them.  It was also nice for Memere and Pepere to get to visit with Miche and Pere too.  It had been a long time since they hung out.  I think the last time they got together was when Nyah came home from China with us - October04.

We had fun on the beach.  It was a windy and a bit chilly but it was lots of fun.  Nyah had lots of fun making castles with Memere in the sand.  We also got to do some fun things like taking rides on the 4-wheeler, picking raspberries and playing doctor on the lounge chairs (that was one of Nyah's favourite games).

After a couple of days at the camp, we headed into Moncton to have a little visit with Marc's grandparents.  It was a short visit but lots of fun.  They were happy to see Nyah and hear her talk and sing her songs.  It was lots of fun for everyone.  We then made a stop to visit with Uncle Mike, Taunt Stephanie and Cousins Gibson and Austin.  We brought them a surprise gift - Hot Wheel stickers for Gibson and Blue's Clues stickers for Austin.  As you can see from the pictures, they really liked them, especially Austin.  Then we wanted to got some pictures of the kids, so Mike suggested they get on the piano.  It was funny, as the kids were seating for their pictures, they kept playing the piano keys with their feet.  and Stephanie kept saying "you can get on the piano now, but for this time only.  Don't ever get on it again".  It was really funny.  After all the pictures were taken, Memere kindly read some books to the kids. It was wonderful to see all the kids sharing these special moments.

After our visit, we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma's for another visit with them.  We had another fun time.  Nyah enjoyed picking yellow and green beans and peas in Grandma's garden.  Grandma also showed her how to shell the peas from the pod.  It was so cute to watch Nyah doing it.  She is a pro at it.  She really enjoyed doing it and I think Grandma really enjoyed sharing this experience with Nyah too.   We had a nice dinner and lots of time to talk and play with them both.  We took nice walks and enjoyed the warm weather.  After our overnight stay, we had breakfast and hit the road for our last part of our vacation, a stop at Miche and Pere's for our last day.

On our last day, Nyah had a blast playing doctor with all the family.  She even did Taunt Ingrid's make-up.

After a long ride of 15 hours, we were back in Ontario.  Nyah did great again on her trip back.  Enjoying Dora and having snacks.

For the rest of the month, we just got catch up on laundry, work and having some fun.  We also had a visit with Alyssa, Janet and Richard.

Thanks for sharing our August entry and we hope you come back for more to follow...  Like September visits with Ellie, Chinese Lantern Festival and apple picking...  keep checking in...
