Welcome to the Lemieux family August07 Fun page. This
month has been a great one with lots of fun, first and friends.
We have been enjoying the rest of our visit with Victoria.
As one of many first that Nyah experienced this month, was skating for the
first time. It was a great time and we had lots of fun. It was
so interesting how Nyah just wanted to skate or should I say run. She
wasn't interested in just walking slowly but instead she wanted to run and
skate as fast as she could. It was hilarious. I watched her and
wondered if little legs should bend like that.... ouch...
At the beginning of the month we camping for the long
weekend. We met up with Darlene, Scott and the girls. We had a
nice time. It think Victoria also enjoyed herself except for the fact
that she was not feeling really great... Although she was not feeling
well, she was able to enjoy a cup of wine cooler and a spider hotdog.
The girls had lots of fun playing with bubbles and the very messy grass pool
along with a little play time at the playground. The campground had a
tie dye activity. Nyah and Victoria each went with their shirt and
made some one of a kind art. It was really fun and cool.

After our nice long weekend of camping, Marc and I head off
to the movies for a night out for the two of us... We are headed to
see The Bourne Ultimatum.
We were both very excited but when we got to the theater we were
disappointment to find out that it was sold out... So back we headed
home.. Which was fine because we then decided to have a girls night...
Marc made the mistake of asking if he was invited, so Nyah gladly included
him... As a girl that is... So she got him all done up with some
make and rolls and a nice pink sweater. It was so funny. We did
get to go see the movie a few nights later. It was a great show.
I think one of the best of all three...
With Victoria still visiting, I took a day off work and we
headed off for some shopping. We both had a wonderful time, looking at
clothes, trying on some fun items and being just silly girls.
Before Victoria's visit comes to an end, we pack her and the
camper up for a trip to Wiarton, Ontario.
We headed on this trip to enjoy a visit with David and Kathy Graham.
They are a couple that we met while we adopted Nyah. They were in our
group on the trip to China. They were going to get Georgia. We
also got to visit with Gary and Bihn who also adopted Vanessa.
This was a much awaited visit. I was so excited to get to spend this
extra time with Kathy. One of the first times I met Kathy, I felt that
we had a great connection and as the years have passed it seemed like that
connection has grown stronger. While all the adults were having fun
catching up on memories for our trip, we were also getting to know each
other more and more. With all this happening, the girls were having an
amazing time playing together. This was also the first time that they
got to hang out without any time constraints. We enjoyed an afternoon
at a local park and a trip to Sauble
Beach, which was beautiful. Oddly, this was our first visit to the
widely popular beach.
As the summer has been passing along, we haven't had much
chance to visit with Harm, Parmi and the boys... So we decided to all
head to the beach for lunch and some fun in the sand and surf. We went
to Port Burwell
Provincial Park. Harm and Parmi also had some family visiting from
England that joined us. As you can see it was bit chilly but Marc and
the guys had lots of fun in the water and the kids had a wonderful time
playing in the sand. I was a little cold, so my plan was to bury
myself, unfortunately I only got my legs done... It was a lot of fun.
Also I hope you enjoy some extra pictures that were missed in
July. They are pictures of Nyah's first pedicure and some of my
birthday cake...
Nyah and I had a nice sweet day. I took a nice
Friday off for the two of us to hang out and have some fun and the first
thing on the agenda (pretty much the only thing) was to get some yummy
cookies baked, or as Nyah put it - some white cookies. Our favourite
shortbread cookies. As you can also see Nyah loves to dig right in
there and have some fun. She loves doing this. We made like 6 or
so dozen. They are one of Nyah favourite and she was sure to make some
that were for Daddy, some without Chocolate. It was a sweet time.
Then that night Nyah excitedly experience another first (and
most definitely not the last) her first sleepover. She had her friends
Meagan and Samantha over. They are children of my great friend,
Stephanie. They always have a great fun playing together. And as
you can see the sleepover was no different. It was just hilarious
watching them dress-up, laugh and play... They then settled down for
some popcorn and a movie (or two). It was a pretty late night for
Nyah, something like 11:00 or so before we headed to bed. Nyah crashed
really fast in bed with Marc. Meagan and Samantha on the other hand,
were up a bit later. I think they were a little anxious about sleeping
in a different house. So I ended up in the spare room sleeping with
them and I think it was like 3:00 AM and Nyah wondered into the room too.
So can you picture all 4 of us sleeping in a queen size bed. It was
pretty funny.
The next morning, the girls were all very surprised by the
frozen surprise. Frozen panties.... It was a riot.

On Saturday, we had a nice visit with Marc's former coworker
from Gennum, Mike and Stacy and their little one, Eliana. Eliana is a
few months older than Nyah, so I think they had a pretty fun time playing
together. After our nice dinner, we all bundled up and headed to the
Nick's Dragonfly Park. We all head a great deal of fun and as you can
see the Guys also had a fun time.
And a a change, Marc got to take some really pretty
pictures of Nyah... Like we don't take enough. ENJOY!
As we are ending August, we are also preparing for Nyah's
first year at JK. She will be attending
John McCrae Public School.
It is a French emersion school. As part of prepare for the school
year, Nyah and I attended a bus ride program. It was an opportunity to
view a bus safety video featuring Pooh and the gang along with an actual
ride on a school bus... A yellow school bus... It went fairly
well. Nyah was pretty nervous. We drove down the road as she
held on to my arm seating quietly in the seat. She was so brave and
she made me very proud.A couple of days later, we
attended a lemonade picnic hosted at her new school. Nyah again was
very brave as she headed over to the play area. I actually told her I
couldn't go on the play area too, but I would be right here (I thought the
other kids would be uncomfortable with the parents on the play area,
which was not the case), so as were headed closer and I just told her this,
she stopped and put her hand on my leg and told me to wait here, that she
would go by herself. That just broke my heart, because she was being
really brave (almost like she didn't need me, which we all know is not the
case we all need our mommy's not matter what).
Well that is all for our pictures and stories for
August07. Please come back to see the new school pictures and all the
other fun times in September07...
