This year we are starting off the holiday's with Nyah's Christmas concert at John McCrae School. This was a performance of the Tuesday/Thursday class. Nyah was really cute as her class made their way across the room on to the stage. She is so cute and quite small in comparison to her classmates. She is really funny, when she feeling like there is a lot of attention on her, she puts this really interesting expression on her face. All the kids where really cute as they sang their songs. They sang 2 holiday songs. Nyah's class was matched up with Leo's class and as you can see from a few pictures, he was place right in front of her.

Nyah and Victoria also had a wonderful night making a gingerbread house. They actually did a great job. Nyah was really looking forward to doing this project with Victoria. We bought the kit a few weeks before, so she excitedly waited for them too come. I think though the part Nyah liked best part about the decorating was the little Yellow eyes that Victoria made for her (look for the picture with the little yellow dot, so you can see what I mean). While the girls were doing that, I was teasing Marc and told him that he needed to go out and do some more shopping for me. That he just hadn't gotten me enough. So surprisingly he said ok... Richard and I will go out later. So as the night was passing by, I am like Marc it is really 9:00 you should go out soon before the mall closes, he was like, Oh that's ok, I am just going to Wal-Mart anyway (both Wal-Mart and Zellers were open 24hrs before Christmas). I was like what, what do you think you can get me at Wal-Mart!!! So finally they left...

GUESS.... it was
AMETHYST!!!
After that we all get ready and headed out, we were going to the University of Guelph... They were hosting the Stanley Cup. Although Marc nor I are huge hockey fans, Uncle Richard loves hockey (specifically the Montreal Canadiens). So seeing the cup was one of the biggest highlights of his trip (maybe even his life).
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Finally Christmas is here. Oddly because Nyah has been staying up later and enjoying her company, it was 9:00 AM and we had to wake her up. Amethyst and Victoria were anxiously waiting for her to wake up...
Nyah was very excited as she made her way downstairs to see all the special gifts that Santa brought. Each year the process is so different for her. As she gets older, she is more excited and fun. She kept looking at each gift and she would want me to make sure that it had her name on it. Unfortunately, I wasn't sure who gave her what. It took me a little time to figure that out.
So we spent the morning opening presents and playing with all the new stuff. I think the biggest hit with Nyah was her Sleeping Beauty dress and the gift from Miche and Pere - the stroller and bed.
Kristann just loved the way our Christmas day went. Because we were here and we didn't really have a schedule, we just played and worked on the Turkey dinner. I think she was in her PJs until like 3:00 in the afternoon, I think she only changed because she was the only one in their PJs... It was great!!!
Everyone had a wonderful day, and at the end you can see that the two biggest kids where all tuckered out...
The next day, the rest of our company headed to London to visit Richard's sister Rhoda. We were really sad to see them go (even for two a few days). Nyah kept asking when will our family be back. It was really sweet. she was already missing Victoria (and Taunt and Uncle Dick).
Finally they are back and unfortunately, when came back Richard was very sick. He spent the next few days just relaxing and getting his strength back. Poor Guy...
We then started to get ready for New Year's Eve. I was really excited because we were going to have some yummy Lobster. But before that, we went to a Tim Horton's free holiday skate. Nyah was doing wonderfully, she didn't even want me to hold her or anything. It was really fun watching her. Mind you I was pretty nervous and anxious standing behind her as everyone was whizzing by her. I was scared she would fall and someone would run over her... Or least some part of her. But nothing happened and I think she really had fun.
After that we went back home and had our yummy treats and played lots of 7UP. Nyah's new favorite card game. It was great being with our family and just relaxing in our PJs. While we were doing that, Marc and Richard hung out in the rec-room watching some discovery shows and New Year's eve events.
Before the ball dropped and the count down started, we all got together and had some funny laughs. I also got a really cool picture of Nyah dancing with the TV and doing the sway...
