Welcome to our February07 fun page.  February was a month with many fun events, quiet times and a end of the month visit.  We celebrated Valentines day and Chinese New Year, enjoyed some outside playtime and a party with some old "sisters" from China.  Also the beginnings our visit with Memere and Perere.

First Nyah and I started the month we a little trip to Costco, which is where she got her new bathrobe.  It may seem odd to you all that I am talking about this purchase but reason way I am telling you is because, Nyah was just overjoyed with it.  She was so excited about it that she slept in it all weekend and even wore it all day on Sunday.  It was so funny.  So I am sharing her pretty robe with you all.

Nyah also started some dance classes in January a the Performance Dance Academy a local dance company.  After many weeks, Nyah is finally warming up to the new and different environment.  I am hoping this experience will help her gain more independence. 

That weekend, Sunday was the a cold day but we still ventured off to the park to so a little sliding, but it turned out to be too cold to stay long.

Valentine's Day...  It was a fun day.  Nyah made lots of treats for all her friends and she excitedly purchased a card for Marc.  We were at Carlton's and when we say it I just couldn't get her to change her mind.  It was so fun.  We the card was a picture of a dog with one of those big teethe grins with a pair of red plastic glasses.  She was very excited to also give it to him. 

The next weekend, was Chinese New Year - the year of the pig..  See our write up below.

This Sunday, was a beautiful day.  We were so excited the cold spell seemed to have broken and we got to head to the park and just enjoy some fun in the snow.  Daddy followed, mostly to take pictures.  After we got home, we continued the fun in the back yard.

The following week had a few moments of Nyah playing dress up in her room, which resulted in her all decked out in her hat and mitten set. It was so cute.  Then it was Marc's turn to get very excited.  He set up a computer desk for Nyah.  She was also really excited.  She came upstairs running and said, Mommy come see, I have a desk all my own.  It was the cutest. 

Well it is nearly the end of the month, the last day actually and Memere and Pepere have arrived for a little visit.  Today is their first evening.  I hope you come back next month to see the rest of our pictures from their visit along with our trip to Great Wolf Lodge...  See you all in March...

2007 is the year of the Pig.  Here are a few things about the year of the Pig.

The Pig is a fun and enlightening personality blessed with patience and understanding. People born under the sign of the Pig enjoy life and all it has to offer, including family and friends. They are honest and thoughtful and expect the same of other people. Pigs can be perceived as oblivious or gullible because they do care about others so much that they will do just about anything for a friend in need.

"Its better to give than to receive" would probably be the Pig’s motto. Pigs are more comfortable giving of their own time or attention than they are to ask others for it. They do not find asking for help an easy task and would rather carry the burden themselves. Pigs will do anything they can to maintain a sense of peace amongst family or friends. This can lead to a tendency to be taken advantage of, but Pigs basically forgive and forget everything. They are compassionate souls who simply want to keep the peace.

Marc is born in the year of the pig and as we are in the process of adopting a our second blessing, it is a a 50/50 chance that she will be born in the year of the pig also.  We are excited to know all those details, but that is many many moons away.

Nyah was very excited to celebrate this year.  It is wonderful to see how she has changed from each year as we mark this event.  This year we decide to take a trip to Toronto to see the events celebrated there.  We got to enjoy a Lion dance, a magic show and a juggler.  It was a great show.  Nyah also enjoyed her week by celebrating with her friends at Marsha's.  This year we took in so little envelops as tokens for the children, we took in some coloring and craft materials.  Along with some tasty treats.

The following weekend, we got to have our annual visit with our dear friends - dear family from our travel group.  Thanks again, Sue and Tom for graciously offering your wonderful home for this event.  It was so great to see all the children, to see all the changes that they have undergone over the last year.  It was also great to catch up with all the parents again.  We have all shared in the most amazing moments of our lives and because of that we share an intangible amazing bond.  We are very grateful for their friendship and their support.

As you can see from the pictures, the girls had a wonderful time too.  Nyah and Fawn, this year again, got to enjoy a music making treat on the drums.  It is great to see those two together because they have similar features along with similar personality traits.  Mind you Fawn doesn't appear to be as spicy as Nyah, we know that when we tried to have them take a picture together, Nyah was not very cooperative.
