July05 Fun

July was another fun eventful month filled with lots of visiting, memorable moments and many laughs.

We started out the month celebrating our first Canada Day as a Forever Family. We were all deck out in fun colorful Canada Day shirts. We went to Riverside Park to enjoy some of the festivities like the petting zoo, the duck races and fun on the slides. We also got to enjoy the fire works at night. Nyah was a bit afraid with the crowds at night along with the loud bangs caused by the sparkles, but she faired out pretty good.

The next day we all attended our first Annual Family Outreach International reunion. It was so wonderful to see all the little faces. To see our friends and children from our travel group along with many new friends and children that are to become part of our new FOI family. The food was tasty and plentiful; the weather was warm and sunny; and the organization from FOI was amazing... Many THANKS!!! FOI You are such a wonderful group to be part of.

In between our Canada Day, Reunion and visit to NB (see below) we also got some fun play time in with Parveer, Harmeet and Mayah. Nyah and Mayah really got to enjoy a fun-filled afterno

on that involved a water sprinkler...

Then we were off to NB to visit our family for a wonderful two week vacation. A much needed vacation for all. Nyah did really well on the long 16-hour trip to NB. But many thanks goes to a new portable DVD player that we invested in for the trip. Very much worth the money... With the DVD player and Barney we were good to go...

The first half of the trip was spent visiting in my family. Nyah was very excited to see all her cousins. Even after the long tiring ride she was kicking with excitement when she saw all her cousins waiting for her on Mich and Pere's front lawn. After settling in for the night, we got down to fun the next day. Nyah started by test driving her cousin, Amethyst's 16 year old tricycle around the yard. We went to show Nyah her swing that is now hanging among the collection 5 of swings that Pere has hung for all the grand-girls. We also got to have a couple of visits in with my grandmother, Gomish. She is such a wonderful lady and a joy to see around Nyah. Nyah also got to check out the little rabbits that are also living at the seniors home. There were many memories had like... dish washing with Taunt Ingrid; picking flowers for Mommy with Connie; having sleepovers with all her cousins; visiting Simply our neighbors horse; playing on the slides and just being silly. It was lots of fun.

Then we went off to visit Marc's family for the next week. Nyah again was very excited to see her cousins. One of the first items to do was go to the beach. The real beaches of the Maritimes. It was a very cold day with lots of heavy winds, but still lots of fun. Nyah honestly really didn't seem to notice the cold weather. It was great to get some pictures of Daddy and Nyah in the water just running and playing. We then went to visit Larry and Gloria for an evening. It was so great to see them again. Nyah had fun but part way through the visit she faded into dream land. We also went to visit a beach near their house. They wanted to share this beautiful location with us and we thank them for that because as you can see the view is breathtaking. Then we attended Marc's grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we didn't get pictures from the earlier part of the the day, but we got many pool side afterwards at the dinner at Uncle Claude and Carmille's house. Nyah is one of 8 great-grandchildren. Interestingly she is only one of two girls, many more boys in the family. We also didn't get many pictures from the cottage at Claudette and Guy's lake. Only a few of Nyah taking a break sitting back in the chair. I guess we were just too relaxed to take pictures, but take our word for it, it was amazing.

Then before we knew what was going on we were back in Ontario at home away from family. Luckily we got to take a couple of cousins home with us for a couple of weeks, Amethyst and Victoria. The girls seem to have enjoyed their trip... As many teenagers are keep them shopping and they are happy. So that is what we did, lots of shopping. We took a day of to visit with Scott, Darlene and Alyssa too in the middle of the shopping. Which was a nice break for me and their bank account. The highlight of their trip other than being with us, was our day trip to the Toronto Zoo. Lots of fun, many animals and surprise a little more shopping. Nyah also really enjoyed the animals. She seem to be very taken with the Lions, my favorite were the Elephants but Marc, Amethyst and Victoria really enjoyed the Tigers. It was pretty great to see the big creatures up close. Amethyst and Victoria also like making like turtles for a funny picture. Thanks girls...

Well that is the end of July. It went by very fast, too fast honestly, because it is bring me one month closer to leaving Nyah and getting back to work... But we are not going to talk about that now, still some time to be with my baby...
