HAPPY CANADA DAY

This year we spent the day hanging out at Guelph Lake Conservation Park with Sam, Melissa, Lukas and Ben. The weather was warm and sunny. After a BBQ of Hamburgers, hotdogs and some fresh fruit, we enjoyed the nice day with the kids playing in the water, running around and playing ball. After all the playing, we headed over to Nyah soccer practice. Nyah really enjoys playing soccer. I think she is happy to be running with the rest of the group. After soccer, we moved on to the next tasty treat - ice cream at the Boat House. As always the ice cream is always yummy and cold. Then we went to see the holiday fire works. The show was lots of fun, some misquotes but a fun show.

Happy 35th Birthday Mommy!

Well this year, I celebrated my 35th birthday. It was a nice day spent with Nyah. Marc was working all day, so Nyah and I had a fun Mommy and me day. We went to the park, had a tea party and just hung out. It was lots of fun.

July 2008 has been a fun but yet very wet month. As part of the monthly excitement, we headed to Bingeman's for a week of camping and FunWorks fun. We started out the first day setting up the camper in the rain, the next day was overcast and cost us $790+. I ran over a tree stump, can you believe it. What a wonderful beginning to my week off. Well at least after the mishap we got to have some fun playing Glow-n-the-dark mini golf. The week was wet, but we still got an opportunity to have some fun at the water park. We also had fun playing on the climbing wall, which a huge favorite of Nyah's, riding the go carts (while seeing the groundhogs) and fun in the in door play structure. It was really neat to see Nyah's little frame climbing all the way up the wall. There were a few older girls that were watching her and they were very impress that she was going to try it. One girl, said "Wow, they will have to tie it really tight and it will be really small". Nyah enjoyed their admiration. We got to do lots of craft and a visit to a local Cosmic Bowling. We had a visit from Leo and his Mommy, Daddy and baby brother, Sam and Melissa and the boys for an afternoon at the park along Harm and Parmi and the boys for dinner. It may have been windy and wet and we experienced one of the worst rain storms while we were there, we still had fun.

Well as we are getting to the end of July, we are also coming to the end of the summer soccer season. Finally the whole summer, Nyah took a shot at net. It was almost a goal, but she still had a lot of fun playing. It was a fun practice and all the kids really enjoyed getting their medals and getting the Timbits.

The following weekend, we took a camping trip to Earl Rowe Provincial Park. We went to this park last year and agree again that it is just a wonderful park with big sites, nice beach and pool and an all around fun place. This year we went with Scott, Darlene and the family. We all had a great time. It was nice to see that changes in the kids from last year.
