March06 started with a wonderful visit from Memere and Pepere. Marc was very excited to pickup his mom and Guy at the airport on Thursday night. Nyah and I where at home waiting for them to come home. Nyah was very excited to see them and she welcomed them with lots of hugs and kisses. She actually started to call them Mere and Pere. It was really cute.
It was a fast long weekend visit but fun and happy none the less. We took a nice drive to Niagara Falls. It was pretty chilly but the sun was shining to keep us all warm too. We had lots of fun enjoying the sights and company. Nyah was also excited to see the raging falls and the beautiful rainbows. It was her first trip to the falls. She kept asking Marc to take her closer, unfortunately closer to her meant in the center of the falls... Sorry, Nyah that is a little scary. I really enjoyed getting some neat pictures of the frozen branches and pretty rainbows.
Nyah really enjoyed their visit. She actually started to call them Mere and Pere. It was really cute. For most of the weekend all we heard was Mere come see this, Mere look at me, Mere watch what I am doing. She was a very big Mere Fan. And believe me, Mere was pretty happy with that, because they don't get to see her very often and they sometimes worry that she will forget them. It hasn't happened yet... Don't worry...
We spent most the rest of the weekend, just relaxing and playing. Marc was actually not feeling well; he came down with some bug and was sick from Friday to Sunday... So while Daddy rested, we all just hung out playing with Nyah and her toys, being silly and painting some pictures.
It was a very fast weekend but on Monday morning they headed back to the airport for their flight to New Brunswick. We all had a wonderful time with many memories.
The following weekend, we had a great visit with our old friends Nicole, Doug, Aidan and Ellie. They came to Kitchener for a visit to the St. Jacob's village and farmers market and they invited us to come to the hotel for a swim and then dinner. The pool and our company was fun. Nyah and her friends had a great time in the pool splashing and jumping off the edge. They also enjoyed the noodles and making waves in the pool. Back at the room the girls had fun jumping on the bed and playing in the chairs. Thanks for the visit Shirton Family!!!
It seems like we were very social butterflies, because we also went to visit Melissa, Sam, Lukas and Ben for a nice dinner too. The kids had a fun time playing outside on the swing and in the snow. They then had fun inside tackling Marc. They seem to always like doing that.
Then before the end of the month, we enjoyed a nice visit with Eric, Lisa, EJ, Deanna and Dayna (Marc works with Eric at Gennum). It was nice to finally have them come over; we had wanted to have them over for nearly three years. But with kids and schedules, it has been difficult. Nyah had a fun time and really enjoyed her new doll that the Deys family kindly brought her. THANKS! Marc and I also enjoyed the visit because the girls kept Nyah so occupied; we had time to have an adult visit with Eric and Lisa. It was nice and fun. We need to do this again soon guys....
The next day was Sunday and it was just the most beautiful day in a very long time. We had fun playing in the back yard kicking balls, Daddy changed his tires and they we went for a walk around the block. Nyah also enjoyed her first fruit roll-up, as you can see Daddy enjoyed it too. They ended up with matching blue tongues...
We ended the month with having a visit with our social worker. As some of you may know, we have started the process again for a little sister (mei mie) and new baby... We are all very excited and happy with the new journey we are starting to endeavor. More information on our process and journey will come in the next months. Keep Posted.
Thanks again for spending a few moments with us and enjoying our pictures. Keep looking for updates...
