Welcome to May 2007 and Happy Mother's Day to all... 

May was a fun month with lots happening...  First we celebrated another special mother's day - it was my 3rd actually.  We enjoyed the day by taking in some fun moments playing outside and visiting the park.  It again was a beautiful day as it has been the year before.  As part of our Mother's day weekend, we also had a fun visit with Scott, Darlene, Corey, Alyssa, Kaylee and Christine.  As you can see the kids had lots of fun playing dress up.

In May Nyah and I concluded our Ooey Gooey Fun program, this is the same program we took last spring.  I was fun to see the teacher again.  Nyah really enjoyed it and as remembering about last year.  I we also took another activity program together which was called Artistic Discoveries.  I think this we both really loved.  It was a arts and craft type of program and as you all know Nyah is like the craft queen.  She loves doing craft and even more if it is with glue.  We made lots of things, like a bird feeder, placemats, pottery, a photo plaque for Marc and much more...  

After our first Artistic Discoveries class, we got home to see our visitors...  Miche and Pere.  We were all very excited to see them coming.  Nyah was especially more excited, she kept asking when they would be here.  It was so much fun seeing her anticipation.    I think that they were also very excited to see her...  They had many hugs and kisses for her (and us too).  They also brought a tasty bunny cake for Nyah from Kristan...  It was pink, sweet and yummy.  Thanks!! 

To also celebrate Mother's Day and mark Miche's 5th year Cancer Free - GREAT JOB!!  I did a scrapbook (my first ever) for her.  With some help with journaling from Dad, Kristan and her family, Ingrid and her family and some aunts, I made the most memorable (and tear jerking) album.  When I present it to Miche she was very surprised and had many tears.  I think she really loved it. 

Along with some shopping we also did some gardening on the first weekend over their visit.  Marc got some really cool pictures with his new camera lens...  We also had a some neat pictures of a new baby bird that was in our back yard one day...  A family of robins had a nest in Tom and Lynn's tree.  Nyah had a great time watching the new babies and see the mommy and daddy bring worms to eat. 

 

This month was a first for many things for Nyah like a fun sleep over.  We had a fun time having a sleep over in our basement...  Me, Nyah and Miche,  Nyah was especially happy to see that she was the first to fall asleep which resulted in her underwear being frozen.  She was so surprised and she just laughed in her hardy belly laugh...

We also had some many laugh all playing in the new tunnel.  It was really hysterically watching Miche and Pere in the tunnel.

With Miche and Pere visiting, we were able to invite my cousins to come for a BBQ.  The kids really had a wonderful time playing and eating the fruit centre piece.  Who am I keeping, all the ladies really enjoyed it too.

 

Nyah was also invited to a birthday party this month.  Marc's co-worker invited us to their daughter Ellie's 4th birthday.  It was held at a place in Burlington called GymMagic. We all had a really great time.  Nyah love playing on the balance beam, bouncing on the trampoline and on the zip cord.  As you can see from the pictures, Marc and I had a amazing time too. 

May also brought many new adventures for Nyah.  We signed her up for a swimming class wiht Marc.  She really did not enjoy the class and I think she cried ever and every time they went.  It was a very long 10 weeks of swimming.  I think that they were both really happy when it finished.  I am not sure why she wasn't keen on it but I think that it is important for her to learn to swim...  So we will be starting that up again in the fall...

But we also started soccer at the end of May.  Although the first session was a little hard and she did a little bit of crying...  You will see much better pictures in June of a very happy little girl enjoying a team activity and some exercise.
