August05 has been a fun but yet very sad month. We had
lots of fun enjoying the weather, playing outside but the sad part is that
all our visits with our family is done for a long while.
We started out the month by seeing cousins Amethyst and
Victoria off for their trip back to NB. But before they left, we got
to enjoy some time hanging out and lounging in the pool.
After they left, you can see that Nyah found other things
to focus on like playing in the sprinkler with Daddy and riding Chance around the
backyard.
Poor kitty... We also attended a combined surprise 30th birthday party
for our cousin Michelle along with a 2nd birthday party for Hailey.
Tyson really did a great job surprising Michelle, it was lots of fun.
Nyah had a fun time too.
As we try to do each month, we got to have a little visit
with our cousin Alyssa. She is growing so much. Nyah also had a
fun visit when Hailey and Brandon came for dinner. After a
little wet play outside, we had to change the girls into warm dry clothes...

August has been a exciting yet very sad month for Nyah,
because she has gotten to meet lots of new friends - Jackamo, Leo, William
and Marsha. In preparation for Mommy to return to work (sad days for
Mommy ahead), we have started to transition Nyah to her daycare provider.
Marsha is a very fun, happy and friendly lady with lots of patients and
caring ways. We have been going for almost a month now. It is
hard on everyone, but each day we go, Nyah is getting better and more
comfortable in her surroundings. But our little Spicy girl has a very
strong personality, so I think that this may be the most difficult
transition period that Marsha has dealt with. But luckily for
everyone, Marsha is patient and very caring. On one day of our visits,
we got to take a few pictures of all the friends. I hope you enjoy...
As August was coming to an end, we got our last set of family
visitors for the year - Taunt Ingrid, Uncle Rodney and Cousins Olivia and
Teresa. It was great to have them come and visit. It was the
first time they all came since we adopted Nyah. The girls were very
excited to see Nyah's room in person.
As any trip is with teenagers, there was a lot of shopping
done. We went to nearly every mall around but for the parents we took
a trip to St. Jacob (http://www.stjacobs.com/)
for some fresh fruits and vegetables... That place is always a popular
place for all our visitors.
We also took a trip to the African Lion Safari -
http://www.lionsafari.com/.
This was lots of fun. The day was a bit cold and runny at the end, but
we all enjoyed the lions, monkeys and elephants along with the other
animals.
We ended our visit spending the last night decorating our
driveway with chalk art. It is interesting how kids can come out in
adults when you give them some wholesome fun.
I hope that you all enjoy our entry for August. It
was a wonderful month that went by way too fast.
