Welcome to the December 2005 Family fun page for the Lemieux trio.  This month has been a fun filled month with lots of laughs, giggles and tasty baking along with some quality time with Mich and Pere.  I hope you enjoy our write-up and our photos.

We had a such fun month with lots of quality family time.  Nyah really had a great time visiting with Mich and Pere.  The more she gets to spend with them the more she remembers more details about them.  It is so great that they are able to come and visit with us.  Nyah enjoyed her time with them and I selfishly enjoyed all the extra help that they gave me with the cooking, cleaning and laundry.  It was a tremendous help.  For all you full time Mommy's that are working full time out of the home too, you can definitely understand and appreciate how I feel on this.  THANK YOU MOMMY AND DADDY!!!  Also for a treat to Mich, Pere and Nyah; on Friday's during their visit we decided to have Nyah stay home from the sitters.  It was a nice opportunity for them all to spend some quality time together.  They all had a great time.

My parents also did some baking for us, with Mommy making her tasty home cooked meat pies.  The ones that I remember with great memories from my childhood.  We still have a nice supply to keep us feed for the winter.

With December also being Christmas month too, Nyah was getting very excited about Santa, Baby Jesus, the tree and all the presents.  For the first year, Nyah sent a letter to Santa telling him all her wish list along with details about carrots for the reindeer and cookies for him.  She did a picture for him that we also sent too.  She actually dropped the letter in the mail herself.  What a big girl!  She has been saying all she wants for Christmas is Toys, Money and Uncle Dick.  We have been having a great laugh about that last one.  And from the pictures you can see that Nyah got a letter back from Santa.  She was really excited about that.  Each day we would go to the mail she would say, Santa letter back.  So we were very grateful when she finally got one back.  It was a very exiting moment.  She also did lots of art work with Santa and Snowman stickers.

Nyah was very excited about our Christmas tree this year.  When Daddy and Pere took the tree to set it up, we turned around to notice that Nyah was ready to help too.  She had her boots and gloves on too to help out just like they were doing.  It was a really cute sight, one that we need to capture.  This year she was more active in decorating the tree than disassembly as she was last year.  When we finally put all the gifts under the tree, surprisingly she wasn't interested in just opening them.  I think that was because when she say them all the first morning, she thought Santa had some but we told her that he hadn't and the gift were from family and we couldn't open anything until Santa came and she is like "Oh, Ok..." and that was it.  She waited until Christmas morning.  I know next year it will be a very different story.

Nyah is also changing a lot these days.  Everyone is saying she is getting so much taller and that she is changing a lot.  One of the things she has started to do is play dress-up and pretend that she is going out for a walk or to work.  It is really cute to see this in her to see her imagination growing.    She also has really been into pretending to be little Miss Photographer...  She has started to setup our tripod and pretend to take pictures.  She would actually set up a blanket on the floor for us to sit on while she would take our picture.  Below are a few of her amateur photos and we are pretty proud of her new interest.  It is really cute to watch her do it.

We also, after many years of invitations, we have been able to make to the annual Emmerson Family Christmas BBQ.  It was lots of fun and lots of food.  We got to take some really nice pictures of all the cousins together along with the kids playing.

As you can see Nyah is a big fan of her freezes, even in the cold winter months.  I think Daddy had a really fun time getting all the stages of Nyah eating her cold treat.  It is pretty sweet to see.

For New Years Eve, we had a nice evening.  We went to dinner with Darlene, Scott, Alyssa and Christian.  Then we all came back home and hung out playing with the kids and trying to stay wake until midnight.  We are not as young as we were that for sure.  But it was a fun night and really great to spend it with our friends (they are family too).

Nyah also had a Christmas Party at her sitter, Marsha.  Marsha had a party with all the kids that even included a nice turkey lunch with all the trimmings.  Apparently all the children really enjoyed the cranberries too.  They had a gift exchange along with making and decorating cookies.  If smiles say anything, they all seem to have had a great time.  Thanks Marsha!

Kids in the first picture by name from left to right: Jack, Jackamo, Leo, Nyah, William and Amy.  Hannah is not present in the pictures.
