Welcome to our October 2006 Fun page.  This month we had a great time visiting with family and friends, running through the leaves, picking pumpkins, celebrating the most special birthday of all and Halloween treats.

We started the month celebrating Thanksgiving.  We went to visit Darlene, Scott, Corey, Alyssa and Kaylee for a sleep over and some delicious food.  We had a wonderful day hanging out while dinner was cooking.  The girls had a fun time playing outside in the back yard but even more fun playing peek a boo under the covers with me.  As you can see from the pictures there were lots of giggle from Nyah and Alyssa as they played in Alyssa big girl bed.

The next day

 before heading back home, we stopped in Stratford to play at the park.  The girls had a wonderful time playing with the leaves, rolling on the ground and feeding the ducks and swans.  I love the picture Marc got of everyone having fun.  The black swan is pretty cool too. 

 

The next day, Nyah stayed at home with our company and it seems like she had a great time just hanging out and playing.  She has been doing fairly well sharing her toys and the attention with her older cousin Teresa.  They had a great time playing, the house has been full of many giggles and lots of laughs, it kind of makes me feel like this is what we will experience when little sister is here, (I am sure there may be some jealousy cries but it will be great!!!). 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 13th BIRTHDAY!!!

We are very happy to get the chance to celebrate with Teresa her special 13th birthday.  As part of the tradition of turning 13, she has gotten to come and visit with Marc, Nyah and myself.  After coming home from work, we started the celebration with some birthday cake then gift.  Once we were done that we went to Chuck E Cheese for some pizza and games.  It think girls really enjoyed the night and had fun.  I know I had a great time playing all the games and getting all the tickets.  A fun time was had by all.

It is nearly the end of October and we now have two events to look forward too, Nyah's 3rd Birthday and Halloween.  For our write up and pictures of Nyah's birthday celebration, see our special page. 

For Halloween, Nyah and Teresa were both every excited about going out.  After dinner we started to get ready for our evening event.  Nyah was dressed as Pooh Bear and Teresa was Lady Juliette.  Then we headed out.  We had a great time.  Nyah was a little scared of the other trick or treaters.  She wasn't very keen of walking by herself, so I would carry her to each house and set her on the porch.  It was really the cutest thing actually, because Teresa would go to he door ring the bell and Nyah would stand behind her until the person would come to the door, at which time Nyah would step out from behind and move next to Teresa for her treat.  It was so cute.  The weather was really nice, not raining or too cold.  We went to lots of houses and Nyah wasn't interested in coming home until she was fully ready.  It was lots of fun.  And we are very grateful that Miche and Pere gave out our treats this year, because this gave us the opportunity to both go out with Nyah.

The next weekend we met Harm, Parmi, Parveer and Harmeet along with Parmi's sisters and niece and nephew at the Strom's Pumpkin Patch.  It was so much fun running around looking at all the great pumpkins.  Nyah tried to pickup so many of them.  Our rule with her is that if she can pick it up, then she can buy it.  We also got to take a fun tracker ride around the farm, through the fields and around the corn stocks.  After running through the pumpkin fields we headed back to pay for our choices and have some fresh popcorn and some hot apple cider. 

The next day was a great day, with the arrival of Miche, Pere and Teresa.  Nyah was just overjoyed with excitement.  On Saturday night she was bouncing in the bed with energy saying she is so excited.  She only fell asleep at 11:45 because she was so anxious about our visitors coming.  The next morning at 7:30 Nyah went to the door opened it up and said, where is their car?  This continued for most of the day, like every hour or so.  It was a long day considering they only arrived at 6:30 or so.  It was so funny actually because as she was waiting she would say, "Miche and Pere are taking a really long time."  It was hilarious.  But when they finally got here, as you can see from the pictures, she was a pretty happy girl. 

 

After our fun long weekend,  we decided to just lay low and have a quiet weekend at home.  We had fun though playing with the blocks, playing with the babies and playing outside.  As you can see Nyah also loves to make silly pictures for the camera.  It is so funny because Marc got a new camera and he wanted to get some great picture but his subject was not as cooperative...  Get used to it Daddy... Even with her silliness, Marc did manage to get some really great pictures of our trickster. 

After our weekend, it was back to work.  On Monday night Nyah had a great time playing dress up as our waitress for the evening while I was a funky witch.  Lots of fun sometimes in the Lemieux household.
