Welcome to our October07 Fun page. Sorry to have taken so long getting this page up.

October was a great month with lots of fun, family time, surprise visits, a special birthday and a spooky Halloween.

We began the month with enjoying our visits with Miche and Pere. Before the long weekend, Miche and Pere took Nyah to the African Lion Safari for a fun day trip. From the pictures it looked like they had a great day. It seemed like they all enjoyed the bus ride, the elephant bath and show along with the bird show.

As a fun day, on the long weekend, we took a shopping trip to NY for some fun spending. We went to the Fashion Outlet Mall in Niagara Falls, NY and the Walden Galleria Mall in Buffalo, NY. We all have a great day of shopping. We found some great sales at Carters, The Children's Place and JC Penny's. Nyah had a fun time at the Disney store. That is where she found some really fun Cinderella shoes.

The following day, we went to the Rockton Fair in Rockton Ontario. The fair was in town and my cousin, Steve had a couple of games at the show. So we went to enjoy the fair and take in a few rides with Nyah. It was actually her first time attending a fair and she just loved it. She had lots of fun on the rides, we got to enjoy a crash and smash derby. I think the most fun was the teacups. We all had a riot on those.

The next day was Thanksgiving. It was nice to share that day with Miche and Pere again. This has been the 2nd time we got to enjoy the day with them since we have been a forever family. While we were getting dinner ready, Nyah, Miche and I got to work making some place makers. This year the makers were Turkeys that could hold candy or nuts... Pretty cool, goble, goble, goble....

The following week, Nyah got to enjoy lots of fun and attention from Miche and Pere while we were at work. They also took another day trip this week to Wings of Paradise in Cambridge. This was a first for all of them. I think Nyah had a great time but apparently she was a little frightened by the butterflies. But she did still get to enjoy watching the butterflies coming out of their cocoons.

By the end of the week, we were all very surprised with some Friday morning visitors. Ingrid, Rodney, Olivia and Teresa made a long trip to come and hang out for the weekend along with being here for Nyah's 4th Birthday party - which you can check out all the details on the page for Nyah's party.

So while we were enjoying the visit, we decided to go to Strom's Pumpkin Farm. It was lots of fun for everyone. The wind was cold but we still had a great time on the tracker ride through the corn fields. We all had fun finding some pumpkins and taking some picture behind the Strom's pumpkin sign.

After all the fun of the party and our company leaving, Nyah spent the next days and week with Miche and Pere. Because Marsha had the baby, we basically pulled Nyah out of daycare for the month while my parents were visiting. From looking at the the pictures you can see that they had some fun. I love the pretty painting. I am not sure who had more fun Nyah or Miche.

As we are now dwelling down on our visits, we had an early birthday celebration with Miche for her birthday.

Before they left, we had a family visit with Aunt and Uncle and cousins. We had some good food and lots of laughs. It was great.

We are now ending the month with carving some pumpkins and getting ready for Halloween.

This year Marc took Nyah out for trick or treating, oddly I was not feeling well. I think Marc was pretty excited about it though. Normally he stays back to give out the treats.

I also enjoyed my turn at giving out the treats. It was a nice change. The customs were cute and lots of fun. I was actually surprised this year because after a long night of treaters, I was surprised when a crowd of kids cleared away and up the stairs came the beautiful Cinderella... And beautiful she is. Then Nyah was done with her treating and wanted to help me with giving out. I think she enjoys that more than passing her self...

After a fun-filled weekend, Nyah was excited to go on her first school trip and I was also excited to get to enjoy this first experience with her too. We all went to Andrews Scenic Acres farm in Milton. We all took the school bus there and enjoy the fun wet rainy day by playing on the big hay bails, a haunted spooky walk, raspberry picking, a wagon ride and a corn maze. The day was lots of fun. I enjoyed getting to spend some extra time with Nyah and her classmates.
