For more details on Nyah's first school days at John McCrae school, please check out all the pictures and write up on the separate page.
We began September with a nice long weekend of camping, with our buddies Scott, Darlene, Alyssa and Kaylee and to the end of the trip Corey made an appearance for our last night. I think it has been the whole summer since we have seen him.
We all went to Earl Rowe Provincial Park in Alliston and it was a lot of fun. We enjoyed a hilarious camp fire with lots of songs, funny dancing and some candy. We also got lots of education on the fish ladder that they have at the camp. Along with the education we all enjoyed a fun time in the river playing catch and release with some crayfish, freshwater clams and many other things that we found. Nyah had a wonderful time, wading in the water up to her knees. Too bad we didn't get any pictures.
The girls also had a fun time playing with all the wood that they guys collected for the campfire. They went from making a dog house, then a bird house and I think at the end, they we down to just a dog bed.
Another wonderful event in September was attending the 2nd Annual Rogers Chinese Lantern Festival. We were very happy to get to share this time with Uncle Dick. Dick was in Toronto for busy during the week and it was great seeing him. This is the second year for the festival. The sights and lanterns were just beautiful and very vibrant. It was a fun night.

"Gotcha Day" #3
September 27, 2007
September always marks a wonderful time for our family, it commemorates the day we first held Nyah in our arms. Even though we had seen her face and held her in our hearts much earlier, September 27 was that special date that we got to hold her and smell her and be close to her. That is the most treasured moment ever.
We are both very blessed to have the joy of being called Mommy and Daddy by the most amazing, beautiful and smart kid in the world. Nyah's personality is one of a silly, curious and joyous little girl. She loves to play tricks on people and she is a big teaser. She has a very hearty laugh that echoes through out our home. We are very grateful for that day three years ago that brought us all together. She is our light and we are very honored to be her family.
As part of our celebrations, we told Nyah that she could choose anywhere she wanted to go for dinner, and surprisingly she choose Old McDonald's, which was funny because she fell asleep on the way to the restaurant and she slept for the whole time we were there. Luckily she woke up when we got home and we presented her with a beautiful day that we got during our trip to China. Nyah was just delighted with it...
Finally after a long morning, Miche and Pere arrived from their long ride and they come running in with big hugs and kisses.
The next day, we all headed to a local apple farm - a big apple farm mind you, Chudleigh's. We all had a great time picking apples and we are still enjoying the fruits of our labour. Our favourite pick was the Honey Crisp apple. They are truly delicious. It was really great to share this with Miche and Pere.
Well that is pretty much it from September... Please come back for October because it will be a good one. Like a thanksgiving with great turkey, A Princess party with special guest - Cinderella, pumpkin picking, a very special birthday and a ghoulish Halloween...
