HAPPY 5th Gotcha Day!
How wonderful it is as we are going into our 5th year of our Forever Family. It is amazing how much our lives have changed since we first held that little ball of energy 5 years ago. As we cried happy tears and she cried sad tears, we bonded to become a family. How blessed Marc and I are that she has chosen us.
To celebrate our day, had a fun day planned. We had David, Cathy, Georgia and Islay Graham come to visit us for the weekend. The girls had a wonderful time playing together. It is so great how they get along and play together. I am so happy that they are great friends.
As part of our weekend, we met up with Gary, Binh and Vanessa at the China Mall in Mississauga. It was neat to see some of the things at the market, like these very tiny crabs... After dinner we went to the Roger's Chinese Lantern Festival in Toronto. We also met up with Lenora, Evan and Ava. It was great to see them too because it has been a really long time since we had seen them. Ava has grown so much.
The festival was lots of fun with amazing sights along with a great acrobat and contortionist show. Nyah really enjoyed.
As the weekend came to an end, we were all grateful for the blessings we received 5 years before in a little civil office in China. Thank you Lord.

The next big event was attending Tracy's wedding. Nyah was very excited about it, so much so that she even wanted to get her ears pierced. Speaking of which, she was the most amazing and brave child ever. We started with using numbing cream on her ears. When it came time to do the deed, she was the bravest kid. She just sat there and didn't even flinch or move. I must say she was much braver then I was when I got my ears done. She also picked the cutest little earrings.
Anyway, back to the wedding. It was lots of fun and bride and groom looked great. We also got to hang out with my cousin Darryl and his daughter Emma who came up from Fredericton NB for the weekend. It was nice to see Nyah play with her cousin. They had lots fun dancing the night away also. We actually stayed at the wedding until 11:45. That is when the girls decided they were ready to pack it in. How cute...
